Rosina Buck: Six Months of Building Stronger Social Media Foundations

August 28, 2026

Social media isn’t an overnight magic wand. Building Stronger Social Media Foundations is key to success on social media for musicians.

Building a strong presence takes time, consistency and a willingness to figure out what actually works for the individual artist. Over the past six months, Rosina Buck and her LMSUK Account Specialist, Jess Hilditch, have been doing exactly that.

There hasn’t been one huge change or one viral post. Instead, they’ve worked together to make smaller changes to the way Rosina approaches social media, helping her build stronger foundations, become more consistent and feel more comfortable creating and sharing content. Six months in, those changes are adding up to some pretty big wins.

Finding a Social Media Strategy That Works

When Rosina started working with LMSUK, her goals were to create a more efficient social media workflow, become more consistent, enjoy creating content and build an engaged fanbase.

Like many independent musicians, Rosina wears a lot of hats, and managing the pressure of promoting herself alongside everything else could be taxing. So rather than simply focusing on posting more, Jess and Rosina worked together to find an approach that suited her better. Through working together, they found that the traditional content calendar was actually creating more pressure than it was solving.

So they adapted.

Small Changes That Made a Big Difference

Instead of sticking to a rigid day-to-day content calendar, Jess and Rosina began creating content in bulk. Rosina then had planned content available to post when she felt ready and comfortable doing so. It was a relatively small change, but an important one. Giving Rosina more flexibility hasn’t made her less likely to post. In fact, she’s become more comfortable putting out the content she and Jess work on together and more excited about sharing it.

Six months ago, Rosina could sometimes go a week without posting. Now she’s posting at least once every day, and sometimes more.

When there’s new music to promote, Jess and Rosina introduce more structure through dedicated release planning. Their everyday approach can remain flexible, while releases have a clearer plan around them.

It’s a great example of why social media for musicians doesn’t have to follow exactly the same formula for every artist.

From 6% to 15% Engagement

That increased consistency has come alongside some really encouraging results. Rosina’s engagement across her social media platforms has increased from 6% to 15%, with consistent posting and community engagement forming an important part of their approach. She’s also now averaging around 50 net new followers each month across her social channels.

That’s a noticeable change from some of the earlier months, when Rosina would sometimes see an overall loss. It’s why building strong foundations matters.

Follower numbers are only one part of social media. Creating consistently and engaging with the community around your music can be just as important when you’re trying to build an audience as an independent artist.

Encouraging Results for Rosina’s Music

Jess and the LMSUK team have also supported the promotion of two of Rosina’s singles since she joined. One has reached around 2,500 streams, while the other has reached around 1,800 streams. By comparison, Rosina’s other videos have received fewer than 1,000 streams.

It’s encouraging to see the two singles we’ve actively promoted achieving stronger numbers, alongside the wider progress Rosina has been making with her social media. And that’s an important part of building the foundations between releases too.

Rather than social media only becoming a priority when there’s a new song to promote, Rosina is becoming much more consistent with it as part of her everyday work as an artist.

The Artist and Account Specialist Relationship

One of the most important parts of Rosina’s progress has been the way she and Jess work together. At LMSUK, we know that what works brilliantly for one musician might not work for another. That’s why the relationship between an artist and their specialist matters.

Through working closely with Rosina, Jess has been able to adapt their approach when something isn’t working. In this case, removing the pressure of the traditional content calendar and moving towards bulk content creation helped Rosina feel more comfortable with what they were creating together.

Release campaigns can still have the structure they need, while Rosina’s everyday content has more flexibility. It’s not about forcing an artist to fit a particular way of working. It’s about finding a way of working together that helps them move towards their goals.

The Biggest Win Isn’t Just in the Numbers

Going from 6% to 15% engagement is a brilliant result. So is moving from occasional monthly follower losses to average net growth of around 50 followers per month. And we’re really pleased to see encouraging streaming figures from the two singles we’ve helped Rosina promote. But Jess highlighted another result that’s just as important.

Rosina enjoys making content now.

She’s more comfortable putting out the content they work on together and more excited about sharing it. For someone who already wears a lot of hats, taking away some of the pressure of promoting herself has helped make other aspects of her artistry easier too. That’s not something you’ll necessarily see on an analytics report, but it’s a big win.

Building Stronger Social Media Foundations with LMSUK

Social media isn’t an overnight magic wand, and we’re not going to pretend that it is. Building a strong artist presence takes time. At LMSUK, we work closely with independent musicians to help make social media more manageable, consistent and effective, while recognising that every artist works differently.

For Rosina and Jess, that has meant adapting their approach, creating content in bulk, keeping everyday posting flexible and introducing more structure when releases come around. Six months ago, Rosina could sometimes go a week without posting.

Today, she’s posting daily, her engagement has grown from 6% to 15%, she’s seeing average net follower growth each month and, importantly, she’s enjoying creating content.

No magic wand. Just six months of working together, making small changes and building stronger foundations.
