At LMSUK, supporting independent artists goes beyond promotion and playlists – it’s about people. That’s why we were proud to team up with Music Minds Matter at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival to shine a light on mental health in music.
Music Minds Matter, powered by Help Musicians, is a vital support service offering 24/7 mental health help to anyone working in the UK music industry. Their mission aligns perfectly with ours: making sure artists are seen, heard, and supported – on every level.
Over the weekend, our team set up backstage at Isle of Wight Festival, capturing powerful interviews with artists across all genres. We asked honest questions about mental wellbeing, coping mechanisms, and what support really looks like in today’s music industry. We heard stories of resilience, vulnerability, and hope – and we’ve compiled them into a powerful highlight video that’s now available to watch.
We also collaborated with Music Minds Matter to create short-form clips for social media, edited with care and clarity so these important conversations can be shared far and wide. Every voice matters – and these interviews are proof that artists aren’t alone.
Why This Matters
Mental health is often the silent backdrop to life in the music world – long hours, unpredictable income, public pressure, and creative burnout can all take a toll. Our collaboration with Music Minds Matter was about making space for these discussions, amplifying them, and normalising support-seeking.
Whether you’re an artist, manager, or music fan – these conversations matter. And we’re honoured to help share them.
What’s Next
You can watch the full mental health highlight video below and keep an eye on our socials over the next few weeks as we share individual interviews with artists like Pale Waves, Mae Muller, Lottery Winners, and more.
This is just the start of our mission to bring more wellbeing into the spotlight in the music industry.
If you or someone you know needs support, visit Music Minds Matter or call 0808 802 8008 – support is available 24/7.
