Building a career in music isn’t just about releasing great songs. It’s about getting seen, making connections and being ready when opportunities come your way.
That’s a big part of what we’re building at LMSUK.
We help independent artists develop a stronger presence online, promote their music and build a recognisable brand, but our support goes beyond social media. Through our artist community, Backstage Pass and the opportunities we source and share, we want to help musicians find more ways to move their careers forward.
And sometimes, that leads to moments like this.
From RecFest to Pompey Summer Sounds
Long-term LMSUK clients Dielle and Regional One first met at RecFest in May.
Their music might sound very different, but they got on like a house on fire.
Fast forward to July and both artists found themselves booked to perform on the big stage at Pompey Summer Sounds in Guildhall Square, Portsmouth.
With a little nudge from Cheryl on the LMSUK team, they decided to make the most of being on the same line-up.
The result was a surprise collaboration during Regional One’s set.
Despite barely having a chance to rehearse, Dielle joined the band on stage for a performance of one of her favourite songs, “Kryptonite” by 3 Doors Down.
It wasn’t about creating a perfectly rehearsed performance. It was two independent artists supporting each other, having fun and making something memorable out of an opportunity they’d been given.
And that’s exactly the kind of thing we want to see more of.
Rumour has it they’re already planning to do it again when their schedules next collide.

Build Your Brand. Create More Opportunities.
Social media isn’t the end goal.
For independent artists, it’s a tool that can help you build a recognisable brand, show people what you’re capable of and make it easier for promoters, venues, festivals, media and other musicians to discover you.
The stronger your presence becomes, the more opportunities you can put yourself in the running for.
That’s why LMSUK combines social media and artist development support with real opportunities and a growing community of independent musicians.
We regularly search for opportunities our artists can apply for, from festival slots and radio submissions to press coverage, showcases, industry events and artist development programmes.
Through LMSUK Backstage Pass, artists can also access opportunities, resources, templates, advice and support designed to make navigating the independent music industry that little bit easier.
Then there’s the community itself.
When artists connect, they can recommend each other, share contacts, support each other’s releases and shows, create content together and, as Dielle and Regional One proved in Portsmouth, sometimes end up sharing a stage.

We’re Building More Than a Following
We don’t want LMSUK artists to feel like they’re building their careers alone.
Our aim is to create an ecosystem around independent musicians: helping you strengthen your brand, grow your audience, find opportunities and connect with other artists doing exactly the same thing.
Because growing your social media following is great.
But turning that visibility into gigs, festival appearances, press, radio play, collaborations and genuine industry connections is where it starts to make a difference.
Dielle and Regional One met through the LMSUK community.
A couple of months later, they were performing together in the middle of Guildhall Square.
We’d call that a pretty good start.
